08h00   Depart by coach from Place du Luxembourg, Brussels

11h00   Arrival at the Garzweiler Operations and presentation

12h00   Site visit Garzweiler Mine (excavator, spreader, bunker, coal seam, recultivation measures, dust prevention, …)

Lunch

14h00   Lunch at Zechenhaus and discussion (topics: energy market, German Energiewende, Rhenish lignite mining area, mining technique, recultivation, just transition, regional assistance, local partnerships, …)

Afternoon

15h00   Transport from Garzweiler Operations to the Niederaußem BoA Power Plant (via wind parks, …)

15h15   Presentation at the Niederaußem Infocenter (topics: technology, flexibility of power plants, efficiency, energy transition, …)

16h00   Site visit Niederaußem BoA Power Plant

18h00   Departure
